John Ellis at 96: Surviving Cancer & The Energy of Living Water
### Key Takeaways
-
Author: John Ellis, Engineer & Inventor (Age 96).
-
Background: Survivor of cancer at age 14; Former American Track Team athlete.
-
The Core Theory: Conventional distillation can concentrate impurities (citing the USS Buchanan incident).
-
The Solution: The E5 Water Machine is designed to alter hydrogen bond angles to increase energy measured by electrolysis.
John’s Thoughts: 96 Years Young and the “Secret” That Saved My Life
Welcome to the first installment of a new series where John Ellis shares reflections on nearly a century of life, invention, and the pursuit of true health.
I am now in my 95th year.
When you reach this milestone, people tend to look at you a little differently. The first couple of questions I get when I go out to various restaurants where I still go out every weekend: “John, what is the secret? How do you still look so young?”
It is a fair question. Looking back, the odds were not in my favor.
Surviving Cancer: A Teenager’s Battle in the 1940s
I shouldn’t be here today. By all accounts, my journey should have ended decades ago. I beat cancer at just 14 – 15 years old.
That terrifying experience so early in life – it changes how you view the world. It forces you to stop taking your health for granted. It ignited a fire in me to understand why the body fails and, more importantly, what it truly needs to thrive.
Engineering & Athletics: From Lafayette College to Inventing the Discus Turn
My pursuit of excellence continued at The Choate School and Lafayette College and in the summers on the American Track Team. I’ve always believed in pushing boundaries—it’s there, on the American Track Team, that I invented the “discus throw with a turn,” the very technique Al Oerter used to win the Olympics four times.
But athletic prowess isn’t enough if your fundamental fuel source is corrupted.
I witnessed the devastating reality of this later in life. The infamous water contamination onboard the USS Buchanan. During the Vietnam War, I was introduced to why distillation is dangerous, with the USS Buchanan distillation poisoning incident. I will go more in-depth on this in later blog posts.
The world learned a hard lesson then, one that I took to heart: Not all “pure” water is healthy water. In fact, improper distillation can be dangerous – concentrating the impurities found in the water.
The Real Secret: It’s All About Energy
So, back to the original question: How did I make it to 95 after having cancer as a teenager?
I realized decades ago that the “secret” isn’t a magic pill. It’s water—but not the dead, low-energy water that comes out of your tap or standard filters.
Your body needs energy to fight disease and flush out toxins.
This drove me to invent my own water machines decades ago. It is not merely a purifier. By heating and cooling water hundreds of times per gallon, we both purify the water and permanently alter the hydrogen bond angle.
The result? Water that tests show has significantly higher energy levels measured by electrolysis. I believe this is the water that has sustained me for decades.
Looking Ahead
At 95, I have more thoughts to share with you. In the coming months, I will use this space to dive deeper into the science, the history, and the vital importance of changing the water you drink.
Don’t wait to take your health seriously. Find out for yourself why our machines are being used around the globe to change lives.
Until next month,
