Bacteria Destruction – John Ellis Water

The John Ellis LWM-5 Machine is engineered for complete water safety. Using a combination of Heating, Cooling, and high-intensity ultraviolet (UV) energy at a 254nm germicidal wavelength, our system provides the exposure necessary to destroy even the most resilient organisms.

Bacteria Destruction Data

Unlike standard filters, our technology targets the DNA of pathogens. The following table represents the microwatt seconds per cm² required for the total destruction of various bacteria, viruses, and molds[cite: 7, 9].

Pathogen Category Representative Organisms Energy Required (μW·s/cm²)
Common Bacteria Escherichia coli (E. coli), Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus 6,600 – 10,000 [cite: 6]
Resilient Spores B. subtilis spores, Clostridium tetani (Tetanus) 22,000 [cite: 6]
Viruses Influenza, Bacteriophage (E. coli) 6,600 [cite: 7]
Molds & Yeasts Aspergillus niger, Penicillium, Baker’s yeast 8,800 – 330,000 [cite: 7]

Key Scientific Findings

  • Viral Neutralization: The LWM-5 process effectively destroys the Influenza virus and Bacteriophages with a targeted energy output of 6,600 μW·s/cm²[cite: 7].
  • Bacteria Elimination: High-threat bacteria such as Bacillus anthracis (8,700 μW·s/cm²) and Mycobacterium tuberculosis (1,000 μW·s/cm²) are neutralized through our specific UV wavelength[cite: 6].
  • Advanced Pathogen Control: Our unique method allows for the exposure times needed to destroy complex Protozoa (200,000 μW·s/cm²) and Nematode eggs (92,000 μW·s/cm²)[cite: 7, 10].
